One thing to the next

As soon as one event is over I am quickly thinking/planning for the next. This next one is very different for me in the way that I'll be riding on pavement the whole time, no dirt.

Sept. 10th, I'll be heading out east, back home New Jersey, to visit family and while I'm there I'll be heading to up state NY to do the Adirondak 540. Thats right, 540 mile road ride on a 136 mile lap done 4 times.

I am very excited about this race for several reasons.
-I originaly started playing in the outdoors in this region and I have'nt been around there in 10+ years but places will be very familiar to me.
-I have never done an endurance road event so I am excited to learn new things and do something different.
-This is a RAAM qualifier (bigger long term goal possibly).
-Love to ride new places.
-Looking to test myself and the pace, don't know till ya try.
-The Adirondaks are filled with beautiful vistas of thick colorful forests inbeded in nice rolling hills.
-Old school friends for support sort of has me nervous, thank god Tracey will be there also.

Since the 24 Hours a couple weeks ago I feel I bounced back with recovery quite well. Been logging a fair amount of miles on the road bike and getting in several local sprint type races.

Presently I am feeling really good and just need to maintain till then. Like I said earlier I am very excited for this event.

If all goes right this will be the view for 30 some hours!
