After Tuesday ...

... I'll know more.

I will be seeing the doc again on Tuesday about my ACL. Yea,I got an MRI but it is not as black and white as everyone might think. We can see it's torn but maybe a few fibers are still intact?? Doing mechanical tests last week when the knee is swollen filled with blood, my body keeping a natural guard to it, and with the immediate pain of an injury does'nt give the best readings.

This past week I have been sitting on the trainer several times a day and strectching the knee at every moment. Keeping it lose and gaining full range of motion is very important weather one recieves surgery or not.

Common question right now - Jay, are you still going to make the trip to AK? Well I will tell you yes right now but reality is I'll have to wait a couple weeks to see how stable the knee really is. Unless on Tuesday the doc says you should really being give some thought to surgery but I am very optomistic in getting through without. Just to let you know John Elway has just as many ACL's as superbowl rings, ouch, none. As the week went by and my research continued I talked with and read about lots of people without. I am staying very positive and hope to be one of them.

Another question is - Is Tracey still going to go, I thought you were traveling together? Of course she is, weather I make it or not. Last year we agreed we needed to be self-sufficient and ready to conquer the trail by ourselves no matter what, in case something happens. As I type this she is out doing an overnighter with her girlfriend. I can't wait to hear how it went.

This is the best pick I have to descibe my situation.
