The pile-o parts finally all came together Friday which kept me up to get her fully built. A titanium 9 Zero 7 frame that is beautifully made right here in the US of A. The guys up there at Chain Reaction Bicycles made this come together flawlessly. Some of the details are a Hadley 160 rear hub, drilled Vicious 80mm rims, DeSalvo fork, Phil Wood BB, Chris King headset, CrankBrothers 4ti Candy pedals, favorite WTB Rocket V saddle, and a very sweet set of Middleburn cranks. If your not familiar with Middleburn cranks, you should be, they offer a light wieght, very versitile system with spider options and more chainring sizes then one can imagine. Check them out! Alex over at MTB Tandems is a US distributor and has loads of stock.
I am trying a 24/36.
Plenty of room for expansion...
Yep, went fat tire riding both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was a couple of hours out of the local Big Hole trailhead of Horseshoe. It provides plenty of nice views.
Sunday we headed a little further north to the Big Springs Campground (more memories of Tour Divide) . Our posse rode up to Mesa Falls with that being the turn around but the Junkie and I headed beyond. We logged about 4 1/2 hours which was perfect enough to remind me of all the winter tricks and essentials I need to be bringing on these rides. It was single digits but a very brisk head wind plumiting the temps to the negatives. Glad to have the reminder ride out of the way. The Falls are sweet looking.
Freemont County Winter Trail system, oh boy! Set up for day riding.
Looking forward to the long winter ahead. Cheers.
